Country: | Kerry's true Colors Here ya go....
I now have lost any and all respect for this man, not that I really had much for him in the first place. I hope this doesn't characterize the entire Democratic Party's view of U.S. troops; however, I wouldn't be surprised if many in that party agree with him. Thank God this man did not get elected. Country: | what a d**chebag. Yeah us in the military joined because we have no education and no other options - it had nothing to do w/ serving God and Country and protecting loved ones at home. The democrats wonder why they have such little support from the armed services when their party leaders make comments like that.

Country: | I cannot believe that a senior politician could say such a thing.
It says a lot about the kind of person the Democratic party is leaning towards, too.

Since the 1960s the party has been over run with leftist, hypocrites and fruitcakes. People like the Kennedy's and now you see Kerry preach how they are there for the working man but then turn around and show their true colors now and again. If a republican or conservative said the same thing democrats would be screaming bloody murder and demanding the person's resignation, instead this @sshole, realizing he was wrong tries to shift the blame for his actions - typical!
Its on tape, it can't be denied - he's too stupid to apologize!

Country: | While the present day liberal democrats make me sick - I will say that I would've support Jack Kennedy, and much more strongly, Bobby. Bobby I would say if far from liberal - actually quite a conservative in most aspects.

Country: | Ok - to be fair - I keep listening to this clip... I do believe he was talking about Bush and his cabinet, being not educated and smart, and getting themselves stuck in Iraq.
I still intensely dislike kerry, and seemed that he was referring to uneducated troops being in the US mil, but I really don't believe that was his intent. However, horrible choice of words in a situation where you know the cameras are rolling. Plus he's made the situation worse by charging the president w/ owing an apology to the troops, and not properly clarifying the situation.

I have a great dislike of the Kennedys. They were driven by the ole man who was actually the behind-the-scene king when Jack was elected, there was a lot of "Tammany Hall" politics when they were heavily on the political scene and again speaking of the ole man, his comments and actions with regards to the British during WW2 were unforgivable. The US public were brainwashed by the "Camelot" image of the Kennedys where in fact they were nothing more and a self serving elitists - I'm sorry if I'm rambling, I get rifled up when I think about them....

Country: | Well with respect to Bobby - who I've done a good deal of reading on - he can't be faulted for his father's behavoir as ambass. He also seemed to demonstrate a willingness to follow a sense of right and wrong. He was a dem going after corrupt unions, which was and still seems taboo in the democratic party. He also sent away an old time pal of the family. While this instances don't fully depict the man, I still regret that he never got to take a fair shot at the white house.

Where I seen problem with Bobby was his ties to again the "Tammany Hall" politics. He was contemplating asking John Murphy to be his running mate (if he realy would of followed through, we probably would of never known). Murphy was a corrupt NYC congressman who was later indited in the Abscam sting of the 1970s.
Bobby seemed a bit better but in reality I trust none of them.

Country: | Not a big fan of the Kennedy Clan but strictly from the Camelot image. It was crap. From a political perspective, the Kennedy's from the 60s were something that does not exist anymore, Hawk Democrats. Democrats of that era were follow ons from the Roosevelt/Truman era. They believed in extending political power via military power. In truth, they tended to be more hawkish than Republicans in some cases. Republicans thought the military of that time cost too much (visa vie Eisenhower's speach on the Military/Industrial complex). All that ended when "Mr. Peanut" (Jimmy Carter) got in office. With him, the military fell on very hard times and the rest of the world knew it. How we got through that time without a major war is a constant source of amazment to me.
Dems of today are, for the most part, liberals. The moderate Dems do not really have much traction. And Hawks, like Zell Miller, have been pretty much driven out of the party. They seem to be growing though (which is a good thing). Better to have a viable two party system than one party in power and the other party in Utopia.
