Kosovo Independence-- Good thing or a bad thing?

Hello folks,
i dont want to pour oil in the fire, but if the serbs think KOSOVA is still serb country ( only some churches and 10 % of the population) why did we ( the NATO) are still there ?
The reason is very simple. If the last Nato truck has disappeared the serb murder are standing up again and will fulfill their work. i dont want to say that the kosovo alabanians are angles, they arent - but the serb military and their so called " independent " mercenaries did their day work. During my 3 mission with the german contingent i had often the oppurtunity to visit gravesite ( in my first mission our soldier found massgraves nearby Suva Reke and Prizren - and it was not a nice view if you can imagine).
So, my personal view.
here the facts :
Serbia sees this region as its heartland - nonsense, cause 90 % are not serbians
Serbia said, that here is a strongpoint of the orthodox curch - nonsense, again, most people are muslims ( e.g.Prizren has 35 mosques, but only 2 churches )
if Kosova is so important for the serbs, why the slaughtered the people in the past, or is not willing to invest there ?

Give Kosova the Independence and let us see what happen - tillthan the NATO has to stay there.

Where you at Prizren? If yes, when were you at Prizren?

I was at Bondsteel back in 2002 to 2003. We flew the Blackhawks out of Bondsteel and would fly to Prizren every weekend to have lunch with you guys.

We flew over there for the night a few times and partied with you guys. You had great beer and it allways a blast.

About Kosovo being Serbian Orthodox Church center is true. The fact that most of the population there is of muslim religion doesn't mean anything. They are muslim because of a Turkish presence which lasted for 500 years, even then most of the churches were burned down by the Turks and not to mention those that were attacked by Albanians. I know this because my family comes from down there, not now but in medieval times. We were of noble lineage in service of our kings. We fled here in Vojvodina in 1600s (not sure).

Da, Albanci jesu monstrumi, ali i nasi mogu da budu takodje. Ja licno mislim da je losa ideja cela ta nazavisnost iz cisto ekonomskih razloga, jer ta oblast nema nista sto bi moglo da je izdrzava samu. HAG ponovo preispituje Haradinajev slucaj i kazu da postoje sanse za ponovno sidjenje. Treba samo da budemo strpljivi i pametni i da ne pokusavamo nista.

Well I'm impressed. Yes I stand by the fact that Albanians committed crimes against humanity, and I ALSO said that Serbs did too. More than anything I want to see war criminals arrested and prosecuted. I said that because Strsljen appears to be nationalistic. About Haradinaj, that is true. I heard it on the news.

First of all, Adler, you know my view on Kosovo situation, and when I said that we in Serbia have to be patient and smart, I meant that NATIONALISTS do not try anything foolish. Strsljen knows what I am talking about.

And we don't...You live in a tuff part of the world my friend ... And all of us do need to know that "you" live there..And we do not ...

Its sort of like being an American..I can understand how you feel... A big part of the world says "your doing this and thats wrong" ...And we who live there do not see it ...We see Iraq as were doing good and helping ....But alot of the world does not...They see us as killers... ...

I would like to know ...At first when Kosovo did there independence there was news of fighting...And I have not heard of any fighting in weeks over there.. Has there been no fighting or is the news doing what news does and not bring it up or did the news say there was more fighting then there was at first..??? Anyone know..???
