I believe that was the first event transmitted by satellite prior to that aircraft would have delivered the film to the various destinations

Oh wonderful Pb. however old Winnie was never a friend to Aussie. Used our troops on several occassions but bitched like a mongrel when same Aussie troops were needed back home to defend Australia against threat of Japanese during 1942 and enroute tried to have same Aussie troops diverted to Burma instead of Australia.

On that my friend Adler will have to disagree. yes he was a great war time leader to England etc. But as far as the rest of the Commonwealth went. Churchill would have sacrificed it with no more thought as turning on a light bulb. To him it was always England first and hell with the rest.

Give you prime examples. The shambles on Malay and Singapore defence. The complete Burma Campaign. And in an earlier conflict his brain child called Gallipoli Campaign in Turkey 1915 when he was First Sea Lord in 1915
