Funny though, after the war of 1812, I think the Brits and Americans have been getting along pretty well.

Thats something you dont here... My family are also going to remember the wars that we fought for democracy to exist. WWI, WWII, Korea, and even the boys in Vietnam because i had 3 cousins to fight including one of them that fought at Hamburger Hill! God Bless America!

I thank my Great Uncle who gave his life in World War II for the sake of Democracy! He was in the 28th Infratry and just before they crossed over the Rhine River, German machine gun post opened fire and he got hit. Bled too death out there while over guys were getting knocked down. He had the Rank of Tech. Sgt.

I had a great uncle in WW2, he was a bombardier I think on a B-17. He got shot down and hid out with a German family for a few days until he got picked up. He made it out ok, what a thing to go through though...

Needless to say I'll be blasting the Team America theme song all tomorrow- download it, its awesome, "America, F*ck yeah!"

Yes, evan, you're naive. We British hate you lot, and we're going to invade. You won't be able to resist our superior linguastic (and that's probably spelt wrong ) skills.

Well my American Grandfather landed on Omaha Beach in WW2. He was an engineer. He also fought in Korea and served in the rear during Vietnam and then he retired. My father was in Vietnam and Desert Storm. Ive done a tour in Iraq now. Anyhow for 4th of July me and my wife are joining our company at a lake here in Germany where we are BBQ' and swimming. We have off from work for the next couple of days to party it up. Should be a grand old time.

'Dip don't dazzle'

I wanted to find the proper PIF for it, but I could only get this one with ol' Peter Purvis of Blue Peter fame. Basically dipping the lamps is just to stop blinding the on coming traffic.

You guys are funny. See, I have English, Scottish, Irish and Swiss blood in me. I have a smattering of other European as well, a right Euro-mutt. I also have some Cherokee Indian and some other Native American ancestry.

My ancestors fought in the Revolution and everything since. You name the war or conflict, someone in my family was part of it. My 8th or 9th great grandfather John Rhodes was born in 1640 in Virginia. My nearest immigrant ancestor was Thomas Jefferson Bones, my great, great grandfather. He fought in the Civil War for the Union. Every other branch goes back to the 1600-1700s here in the states.
