Damn newbie spouting his little mouth off 5 seconds after he joins... Welcome aboard - you made an excellent impression. I don't give rat's arse if you your family cleaned the heads in San Fran with their tongues for 30 years or if your brothers worked the streets in drag. It was a joke pal. Lighten up.

A handle like "Major Woody" conjures negative images... Perhaps u should change to "Gaping Cu_nt"... or "wet labia"... at least it's a vagina visual...
and this is coming from a guy with a 1970's cereal avatar!

Country: | comi , THE james finnegan, former jug driver and marin county lawyer lived a few blocks away from my familys home when we lived in terra linda ca , my late kid brother dave and finnegans kid were classmates and buddies .. iirc , adolf galland came to terra linda and stayed with the finnegans as a houseguest in the late 80s and rehashed his last and final combat mission with the former lt finnegan who was as you may know , the cause of general gallands long freefall from his bullet riddiled 262 . ( galland was rightly concerned that the jug pilots would shoot him while helpless in his parachute , hence the long freefall ) the great galland has since gone on to valhalla , im not sure if the pugnacious irish yankee barrister has joined him there yet ..do you know , comiso ? |

He was wearing a P-47 Pilot Associations hat...
I mentioned how much I liked the Jug and asked him if he wanted to share any stories... He said "yeah.. I shot down Adolf Galland"... Man, I wasn't expecting that. .. he then related the story... I think that was Gallands last mission... James put him out of commision.
Thats cool that u knew him. I think he ended the war with 3 kills but a 262 should be worth 2!
i always thought Galland crash landed though... as stated in wiki: Galland led JV 44 until his last mission on 26 April 1945, when he was wounded in a dogfight with an American P-47 Thunderbolt and sustained a knee injury crash-landing his Me 262. Command was transferred to Bär..

It's a shame that such an iconic and historic city has become the image of the far left. As a member of the US military - I certainly do not feel like I'd be welcome there.

Country: | hmmm...comiso , it looks like i have gallands last mission wrong though im almost certain i did read of a very late war bail out where he did a long free fall to save his skin , apparently finnegans shootdown was a crash landing .to be truthful i did not ever know finnegan sr but was vaugely aware of his goofball kid who ran with my youngest brother davids early 1970s era ratpack ..had i known then that finnagen jr was the son of the man who shot down galland i would have treated him much differently and not subjected him to random noogies ,dutch rubs ,wedgies and various other torments required for all friends of all of my three younger brothers ...i did not discover until many years later that THAT little goofball finnegan was the son of THE finnegan .. sadly ,daves gang came of age in the early seventies and lived hard and fast ,booze ,drugs and car and bike crashes cut a very large and lethal swath through this group {including dave ) i hope young finnegan and his heroic dad are both still alive and well and i toast their health... |
