I think you are more than right. I see it all the time from the young people (I am not really an old person though...).

I don't think they vote based off of there principles but rather because it is the "cool" thing to do to vote for a certain person.

From an external point (I did not followed the debate McCain,Hillary,Obama and I don't know what they did or did not): regardless of any idea or political program, I think there is a big new variable to assess: how many African-American will go to the booths?

It is reported that historically the percentage of A-A who actually used their right to vote was extremely low, and much lower than Caucasian.
But until now they always had to vote for a 'white'.

So I think the big bet of the Democrats is based on the assumption (hope?)that many more A-A than in the past will go to vote, and will vote for the first A-A presidential candidate.

If this assumption works, Obama will probably have the edge to win.

But you are forgetting the Democratic "angry" voters who so wanted Hillary to win that now they will vote for McCain. I have heard it from several dems that this is the scenario that is happening and I don't think its a lock for Olabama.

Very true. Was watching Fox News yesterday and conservative commentator Armstrong Williams said he was going to vote for Obama, and I'm sure there wasn't a single liberal position that he agreed with. It's a black thing.

Don't get me going on the racial stuff that the non whites do here in the US...Miss Black America ..NAACP... Black collage fund...And so ...And I can't have the same for my white race... .....

I know whites that are voting Obama ...But all the blacks I know are voting Obama...

I could care less what his color is ...The stuff I'm reading about him I do not like ...The church he was going to is the upsetting thing about him .. Very radical black thinking...I'm so tired of the black man blaming all there problems on the white ...As much as the world kicking America for all the problems ...

It would by like McCain going to a KKK church ..He would not get my vote ether...The KKK was at one time part of the Baptist faith...No different in my book ...

People trying to run over one race to make theres stronger ... I see the NAACP as a hate group agains white .. No better then the KKK...

Just as an aside, Rev. Wright has retired from the church and is settling in a neighborhood that is upper class with 75% white population.

Does he shout out his window at his neighbors, "You rich white people!"

I don't know I would really like him in my neighborhood. But then again, I have one of the most liberal ladies in this county as a neighbor. Fortunatly since it's a more rural neighborhood, I hardly see her.

Unfortunately there will be many who vote for Hussein because he is black and many who will vote against him because he is black. It is sad that that will be the case. If we are lucky those voters will cancel one another out!

It is a faint hope that they will face the fact that they are racist. Voting for a black candidate will make them "feel" good. One has only to watch the AM TV shows this morning to see how the media is slobbering all over Michelle Obama during the rehabilitation of her image that is now going on.

There should be no question - NO question - how proud one is for their country or whether you should wear a lapel pin or not. Someone who even has to think a nanosecond on the issue should not be president.

I'm in total agreement with you! That pin stands for so much more in my opinion than just being happy with your country. I think that is such a easy cop out for Obama. That pin to me stands for support of our country, all the fine servicemen and woman who have served and gave their lives for this country. To me it stands for for my Grandpa's service in Korea, my dad's service in Vietnam, both of my Dad's brothers service in Vietnam, and my Mom's brother's service in Vietnam as well. For him not to wear something as simple as a pin to show support for our country makes my decision on who to vote for easy as hell! In a way I am thankful for Obama helping make my decision on where my vote goes extremely easy.
