It was a noble idea that just ultimately fell short of it's intended purposes: for nations to resolve their differences peacefully and to provide mutual aid and support. It's a crock. Another thing about the French is air traffic control, in every airport on the planet airtraffic control speak English. The air international language is English but in France, the French air traffic control speak French to French planes.
Pilots like to listen to the conversations on the ground to know where other aircraft are at the airport for themselves. Because the French were speaking French most pilots did not understand. This, unfortunately, in 1994 caused a terrible accident which had one airliner taxiing on to the runway while a French aircraft landed. The airliner was told to go on to the runway but didn't know this other plane was landing because he couldn't understand the French! The planes collided on the ground. I don't know how many people died.
We also hate the French for many other reasons...too many to mention.
And Dunkirk...well, I don't know what planet you're living on but on mine a country should defend itself and it's never another countries fault that you can't do that. The French failed themselves, not the British who only had 350,000 men and hardly any heavy equipment.

The UN has jsut pissed me off in so many ways i just let my opinions go wild. Like the incident that happened in Somlia. The movie Black Hawk Down really shows you how upright sh*tty they can be. Refusing to go into combat until American lives had been lost.

Country: | What happened in Black Hawk Down wasn't about the UN. It was about not having a "go to hell" plan and having no armor for this little soiree into bad guy land. In military terms, it was a cluster-**** of the highest order. They had been following the same pattern for attacks for weeks. Bad strategy, bad country, the works. That country is nothing more than a cesspool and none of those poor guys should have had to die for those damn skinnies.
