Country: | Do they want to survive as an independant state??
N Korea says sanctions 'are war'
Pyongyang announced it had carried out a nuclear test on 9 October
North Korea says UN sanctions imposed after its nuclear bomb test are a declaration of war, state media says. BBC NEWS | Asia-Pacific | N Korea says sanctions 'are war'
Surely they realised that this would be the course of action the UN would take. It certainly seems like they have a death wish...

Country: | US State Dept announced radiation was detected. NK says they are gearing up for another test. DoD confirms significant movement in test area, but purpose inconclusive. China announces concrete and barbed wire fence will be erected over significant portions of the 880 mile border with NK.
Surely he isn't stupid enough to fire off another.

Country: | The French should be able to mount quite an effective campaign. They have a large defense budget, with good quality equipment. I would definitely rather have those guys as a friend than a foe.

Country: | Not that I think they plan on any sort of expedition - my post was more theoretical than actual.
