North American Union Leaders and Presidential Candidates

Any American politician who proposed any kind of union with Mexico or Canada would be signing his own politcal death warrant. The very last person to consider such would be George Bush.

some of the problems that would ensue
1) US switching to metric ...highly unlikely
2) What currency ...No way we'd use the greenback up here
3) no way Canada would surrender health care
4) Parlimentary or Congressional type or whatever Mexico has (corrupt) that would be good debate
5) What language ....the french wouldn't go for Spanish as a second language
6) Flag ?

Only one thought really.
I read somewhere that most Americans weren't that keen on staying linked to the British in fact didn't they end up throwing a wobbly and chucking our tea in the drink (the little devils).
I think the thought of the Royal Mounted Police wearing sombreros and galloping through central park may cause a bit of an upset. Apart from the fact that the mounties like the hats they have and the horses have trouble keeping in time to a Mariachi band.
