They are not as dangerous as being made out to be as far as their military strength - I'll agree.

With that said they are a threat in their region - even if they have a handful of these missiles that could reach Israel, they are a threat.

It's funny how the radical Muslim world works - Israel is quite a distance from Iran, but yet it's president and a few other clerics within the government demand Israel to be wiped off the face of the earth, but yet Israel has no influence in that region of the world - Israel is just a source of hatred the Muslim needs to stay united or else they'd fight among themselves.

Yes - all they need is a handful of missiles and they (Iran) could cause harm to Israel - in return Tehran would be reduced to a giant crater.

i agree with you in dome part, but its a very complicated history, also a very long history.

the problem is that jerusalem, is a holy city for muslims, jewish and christians.

since the jewish people was expelled from ancient israel by roman empire, that lands was colonized by other people, muslim religion was founded, there was cruzades, there was jihads against that cruzades, there was turkish colonization, european colonization, zionism, jewish refugees from war going there(and being helped and welcome by many palestinian people, wich many people today forgets), the creation of israel, the expelling of palestinians from their lands, war against israel, terrorism, islamic radicals claiming another jihad against israel and their supporters, economic crisis in middle east, social issues, israeli settlements growing, radical muslims leaders having more power in their countries... man, its just a very vey complex situation...

let me tell you something about my country, theres in rio de janeiro, a street market called "sahara", theres jewish, palestinians, lebanese, sirians, they have their business there, they all works in peace and its not unusual you see a bakery that owners are lebanese and jewish. or a cloths shop or wathever...

The point here is the Iranians are Persians - and with the exception of their religion they have little in common with the folks surrounding Israel. They are physically located thousands of miles away from the place but they threaten israel as if they were on their border and as I stated they perpetuate this hate as a distraction from their own internal problems as well as a cause to try to keep their people united.

We have similar places in NYC, Los Angeles and Detroit as far as I know of - in Los Angeles there is a "Diamond District" where all kinds of jewerly is sold. There you have Jew and Muslim side by side and even working together selling high end diamonds and gold.

i know, another diference also iran is a ismaelit country, because they follow the prophet ismael. the situation of israel is used by their "aiatolás"(dont know how spell in english), as populist statement and to anchieve political status in middle-east. so they support the "dirty" war against israel, with hezbollah, making terrorists acts wich are not directed for any strategical or military target, its just about to kill civilians, lauch some rockets, isolated acts of terror but without any kind of inteligence behind, wich is bloody, primitive and also just turn the international opinion against palestinians.

we have a popular phrase here is "negócio das arábias", free translation could be "business form the arabias", the jewish and the arabians, also persians, are not people known just by land wars and acts of terror, the tradition says those people are good business makers, isnt that true the silk route cross that region ? they are living their "dark age", but its not forever.
