Thanks for pointing that out, NS.

Am I the only one to think that Plan_D is going a little far on the right wing ? I always considered myself as a "strong right-wing man"... But this is just... ridiculous.

I mean, I agree the British should have been more agressive with their "conversion" plan, but not exterminate a bunch of farmers who only wanted to be left alone ! There is a difference between war and war crimes !

If I may be picky for just a moment, they were (and are) called Acadians. The word "Cajun" refers specifically to the descendants of the Acadians who were deported by the British from Nova Scotia to Louisiana, between 1755 and 1762. It's really just a slurred way of saying "Acadian" that became the norm down there. Don't ever call an Acadian a Cajun. He'll rip your head off.
Thats what I allways thought. Love the Cajun food!

I'm with you. Mass extermination would have been both criminal and stupid, even by the eighteenth century. Even though the Québec population was far greater than that of Acadia (Nova Scotia and New Brunswick), it would have been far better to fully integrate the French colonial population of Québec into the British colonial society, which I feel should have been done in the first place, or deport them en mass. All the way back to France if necessary. Once the mass deportations began, it's quite likely that many of them would have willingly renounced their French heritage and become good citizens of the British Empire, if they truly wished to stay in Québec. If not, it's time to leave. Period.

Understand me. I have nothing at all against the franco culture of Québec per se, but they were a conquered people in the eighteenth century. As such, they should have been made to fully adopt the culture and traditions of the new rulers, but they never were. The ultimate result is the fragmented society we still see today, that we're only allowing to become worse.

If Trudeau were still prime minister, we wouldn't be putting up with one-quarter of this Bloc bullshit.

Ahhh... The good old time.

Trudeau was Prime-Minister, police forces were still strong and could happily strike separatist pinkos with their PR-24s, prisons were looking like prisons (not like the five-stars hotels with bars in the windows that we have today) and we still had a strong army... Then everything got screwed up !

By the way, I heard that P.E. Trudeau's gayish son, Justin (the one who got married recently) wished to become a politician like his father. That is also scary. Imagine that : we would have a Prime-Minister who is hidding his homosexuality behind his good-looking wife.

Why do I say that he is gay ? Several things makes me beleive that. According to the peoples close to him :

1 - He is a great fan of the "back-door service". (Got it ?)
2 - During his wedding, when it was time to "kiss the bride", he kissed her on the cheek... What a fag !
3 - He wants gays to have the right to get married.

I don't care about the fact that he is gay, what really bother me is that he is a "double-agent".

**EDIT** : I attached a picture of Sophie Grégoire, Justin Trudeau's wife... I can't beleive that sucker was able to make that girl play his game.

For me, I am a strong supporter of the Conservative Party aI know that the only way they can win a minority atleast is to make some friends in quebec, and the only way to do that is to throw away certain morals, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend"

I'm also a strong supporter of the conservative party and you're right about making some friends in Québec. Unfortunately, there is two major problems :

1 - Childrens from Québec get brainwashed in public schools so all they want is a job with an Union and separate from the rest of Canada. So they always vote for the Bloc.

2 - Unfortunaltely, the actual Conservative leader got a typical Redneck look. Take the same party but replace Stephen Harper by a guy like Jack Layton and the Conservators would hold a majority at the parliment.
