I see. I can agree with that. His appointment as a senator wasn't based on any great service he's done for Canada anyway. The entire Canadian Senate is really just a useless, high paying sponge anyway. It's really more ceremonial than practical.
Any of you other Canucks remember that fella who was turfed from the senate a few years ago, for not even showing up for over a year? I can't even remember his name now. He was living high on the hog in Mexico on the money of Canadian tax payers. The real crime is, I think he still collects a pension.
And we struggle with national defence. Ha!
