Québec as a "nation"

Well, here it finally is. The government has finally begun to seriously debate it in parliament after all these years. Could Québec soon become the Scotland of Canada, so to speak? A nation within a nation?

God, I hope not. It's tough enough driving through there as it is.

Oh, absolutely. In fact, if Meech Lake hadn't have fallen through way back when, maybe we wouldn't have the Bloc in the House today.

Yeah, Québec already is a distinct society, it's just that no one has ever officially recognized it. The key phrase here is "within Canada". Could get a little dicey.

Yeah... And guess what ? The Bloc is still unhappy with that !

Today, that f*cknut of Duceppe said that he would prefer Harper to say : "A nation still within Canada" rather than "A nation within Canada".

Holy sh*t !

Sounds like Al Gore's gaff when translating E Pluribus Unum

Gore translation - "Out of one, many". Dipshit.

Look on the bright side - if you hoof Quebec out of Canada completely, you won't have to translate everything into French any more!

Well, not really. Because New-Brunswick is still 50% French and there is still many French in Ontario.

Hmmm, maybe they'll collide with Greenland. Good lord, I'll be washed away in the resulting tsunami! Not to mention poor Newfoundland!

There's quite a bit of French scattered throughout Nova Scotia too, actually. Not quite as much as New Brunswick, but still.

Has anyone ever thought that maybe you Anglos are the minority? I think you just named 75% of Canadian territories.
