I will certainly agree that the United States is far worse than it was in the past. I think a blind man can see that.

I just do not think that all the blame can be put on Bush.

Especially when the Speaker of the House is an incompetent buffoon.

With respect TO;

The polarization of politics is one the reasons I'm cynical. Any comment or thought is automatically labeled as "Liberal-left" or "Conservative-right". Labels are an attempt to put an issue or person in an easy to understand box for automated attack.

Whatever happened to well formulated thinking?

It's nothing new or unique... there always has been bi-partisan politics.

And yes, I think Iraq is a criminal act...

Was it a crimial act in GW1? Is it a criminal act when the French send troops into Chad and other parts of Africa without UN approval?

GW1 was a just cause that was contained and had the backing of several nations. There is no comparison. I was behind GW1 100%. I served during GW1.

I'm ignorant to the Chad reference so I'm not able to comment. I know the French were in Chad but which year are you referring too?

Yes - they fling troops all over the world outside the restraints of the UN but are the first the whine over our Iraqi involvement.

There is no denying, Iraq became a cluster but removing Saddam Hussein was needed. The minute he was out of the ground we should of been gone.

Why is that? You are obviously entitled to your opinion. As a vetern of Iraq, I disagree, especially since if it is a criminal act that makes me a criminal.

With respect as well comiso,

This isn't the thread to discuss the Iraq War, but that's where we disagree.

As I stated previously, Bush's presidency will be judged on the outcome of Iraq. It was an optional war, so to speak, but I don't believe for one minute the battle cry of the left, "Bush lied".

War is a performance business. Had we (the Bush administration) been smarter with regard to the strategy implemented to prosecute the war, we (and the rest of America) wouldn't be talking about this now.

With all do respect, I see no violation here!

1. You did not specify that only US citizens can vote in this poll.

2. Non US Citizens have an opinion about US Politics just as much as you have an opinion about Non US Politics, and believe you me, you think you have the right to spout off your mouth about Non US Politics all the damn time. So why can't they?

So do they not have the right to vote and post in this thread?

Move on now sys!

Agree....

Folks - if you want this to be a "US" only poll, say so. At the same time I will comment that I have seen a lot of silly opinions thrown out by folks who haven't the slightest idea what goes on in the states day-by-day. PB is probably the only non-US citizen who is in a position to comment on what is really going on in the states based on his proximity to the border.

Now with that said, maybe now some of our foreign membership could see why Bush isn't entirely condemned in this country. There are some things domestically he did well, but for the most part I rate his performance dismal.

Keith Olbermann believes that he is; that's proof enough for me that he is not.
So glad Olbermann been kicked out of the limelight some. Though he will probably do a big rant in the next few weeks in the hope it will "change" the election.

I gave Bush average, because the first 4 years of his Presidency were really not that bad. His last hurrah was in election 2006, ever since then it's been downhill. Too bad really. Bush can't whip a crowd anymore, but I wish he could at least try. Give a rousing speech, and maybe people would listen to him again.
