Country: | So, we're all agreed. Humans suck ass and we should destroy ourselves in a mass nuclear holocaust. Yay!

Country: | See, I have just proven a point. You can't please everyone. So, let's destroy those who disagree.
<knock, knock>
"Yes? Who is it?"
"Is that Iran?"
"Yes, it is. What do you want?"
"To see you turned back into dust you arrogant, monkey raping ****-hole nation!"
Ah, what cheered you up today!?

Harvard,
Well then perhaps you should actually outline your views rather than saying very little while typing quite a bit. I thought I did quite a good job at summarizing your ideas and then proving how they made no sense. Your greatest fault is that your ideas may all be well and good on paper, but you do not know how to carry out those ideas. This is probably because those ideas are unable to be carried out in a real-life situation. When you decide to come back to reality, perhaps you will realize this truth, and maybe then you will submit some ideas that are actually worth hearing, i.e., practical solutions rather than dreams of a more noble human society.
| You thought wrong. Use quotes, and quote something directly.
So I need to solve your problems? You need to come up with a solution yourself. I am merely pointing out a problem. I know Illonois where you are from is among the worst in the nation for corruption. It is small wonder you hold a defeatist attitude. In California and Arizona it is quite easy to fight large gov't. We have good senators such as Jim Kolbe and John McCain who actually read letters you send to them, and try to come up with solutions to abuse by rallying congress.
Yes, realize the truth that we need to fight large gov't. It can be done. |

| There, I used a quote. How is it my problem? You're the one whining about it. I don't find it to be a problem at all. Your tactic is the problem. It's all well and good, even easy, to point out a problem, but if you don't know how to solve it, who really cares? Wow, great job saying something sucks, now what are you going to do about it? Whine on an internet forum? What a useful human being you are. How is Illinois among the worst in the nation for corruption? Perhaps Chicago, but I'm four hours away from there. In central Illinois (where I am from), corruption doesn't seem anymore commonplace than in any other part of the nation (which, sure, doesn't say much, but it also doesn't single out my state). I do not have a defeatist attitude, I have a realist attitude. I try not to live in fantasies and delusions (yes, how ironic given my screen name). I prefer thinking in terms of real life solutions and changes. I am proud of my senators from Illinois, especially Barrack Obama, who it doesn't seem to me is corrupt at all, especially since he is so new to the senate.

| Quite to the contrary, the problem is difficult for many people to recognize. In this thread alone I've probably pointed the problem out approaching 20 times.
In the quote you used above I suggeted one way to solve the problem. There's a saying that says "knowing is half the problem". So before everybody can know and recognize the problem, we can't solve it. |
