| Sir, with respect, I disagree with you on the statement communist are not a threat....ALL governments are formed out of fear of something, no matter where or when....and there will always be somebody that says they have a better way, even if they have to kill you to prove it....I believe liberals in the US have been taken over by communist/socialists to take power bid or, in the future, stage a coup d'eta (sp); in short, the US liberals are being used as cover....within the US there are ALOT of exteme right-wing groups too....the FBI and other intelligence gathers are watching them too....they are the same as communists/socialists, they want the power....I am not as sophistocated as some but I do read and listen and watch....and remember the past.... |

Country: | You say Communists/Socialists as if they are no better than one another. I live in a country that is a Socialist Government and I tell you they are different and the Socialist government here actually is quite a good government. Hell it was set up by the US after WW2, kind of funny huh.

Country: | The average German pays 20 to 25% tax. That is not bad because of what they recieve for it. The Social system is excellent, the medical system is excellent. There is no need for a private system that you are so fond of. However if a German does not wish for the government system then they may go private and then they are in a different tax bracket.
However I must throw in the fact that I do not pay taxes to the German government rather the US government. I am in the US Army. I was born and raised in Germany but have also lived in the US. I have seen both worlds and have to say that between the 2 countries, Germany has a better social and medical system than the US has.

I don't know, that's difficult to judge. I would think to pay for the kind of system Germany has must require more taxes from someone. Do businesses or corporations pay higher taxes?
Can you own firearms?
I am a critic of my own country's gov't, because from what I've seen our gov't is growing, and becoming too big. have you ever met some of these people who work in the gov't aka civil servants? They are pretty rude, because they know they can't get fired no matter what. Can you imagine a bigger gov't with more of these clowns running your life? I've seen it first hand, and I must say larger gov't is no good whether it's in Germany or the USA. |

Country: | I probably should not add my 2 cents on this but I used to work for our govt, and still do harvard and I know from experience that nothing absolutely nothing in a govt. position is secure job wise. One of my cousin's lost his and is now wrapped up in a 1 million dollar lawsuit |

| I understand some gov't workers can be fired and some are even nice, but many aren't. Why, because they have power. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Again a simple concept: You put the power in someone elses hands, and they use it as they see fit. In fact they overdo it when they have enough. Why do we have a max of 2-4 year terms for a president? I surprised this very simple concept is so hard for many people to understand. |

Can you own firearms? | It depends on what tax bracket you are in. Whether you are married or have children.
Yes you can own firearms. You just have to have a permit for it, no different than most nations.

| To me there is little or no difference between socialist and communist...a socialist is a 'pinker' shade of a 'red' communist....'splitting of a hair' as it were....
The FBI released about a month ago they are actively tracking around 350 right-wing groups and organizations within the US....those stats can be looked at on FBI.org....sorry I never saved the web page.... |

| Is Rush Limbaugh on the list? He's far right, but the funny thing is the truth itself seems to be on the right. |
