nope sorry I disagree....socialism is the free ride for a great many business and people that cannot compete any other way but by central goverment protection....regardless of international trade laws and attempts at and to level fields of competion by competion....it is a huge government that saps the will and freedom of all under it....all it does is replace one form of tyranny for another....socialism is the stepping stone to communism....only when people have the means, knowledge, will and ability to MAKE their government do their elected wishes does a republic exist, and take it back by force if needed....real freedom is never cheap....I never said socialism is/was communism ....I said socialism is a pinker form of red communism....but the ideals of both do work hand to glove....

And honestly a real Socialist system is no different than what you are living under right now. You are not as free as you think you are.

No negative this is not my forum. This is everyones forum, I as an admin am just trying to keep the peace and the order. I am part of the Big Government.

You speaking from the way you grew up is fine. You are entitled to your opinion and are encouraged to speak your mind. When I said your were misinformed this was not meant to be an insult and I have already stated that on several occasions. What I meant by this is this: Your information on a "Real Socialist" government and not the kind that is tought about in the United States is not the whole deal and not the real truth. Under the Socialist system that I am living in at this moment, is no different than in the United States, except that there are more benifits and social help when needed. It is not communist or a step below communism. When I made these comments you got quite angry and through out insults. We do not need this here. I think there as some extreme right wing views floating around this thread Adler and as with most extremists the views tend to be black and white with no room for even a modicum of lea way, if donating aid to overseas country's is not a socialist act then I don't know what is and the US is one of the biggest givers of aid in the world. Pure capitalism doesn't exist no more than pure socialism we all float some where in the middle some more to the left and some more to the right.
But for all there faults it beats the crap out of country's that claim to be communist but really are dictatorships. Having said that it sometimes throws up surprises such as the Cuban health system.

Well here is my take on it. My wifes Uncle is German and he owns his own buisness. He started this business without Government assistance. He pays roughly 22 percent taxes. From those taxes he gets retirement and medical insurance. Thats not a bad deal to me. He owns his own business and he gets insurance from the government. Wow that really does sound evil does it not?!

Personnally, I think the lone good thing that socialism has brought is "free" health cares. When it works properly, you get into an hospital, the nurse punch your health card, you see a doc and you get out... Something went wrong in Québec about that, but New-Brunswick is trying to do it better. I hope they'll succeed.

Everything else is crap. Unions are too strong, the "no-fault" for cars accidents sucks (by the way, docs here are also trying to get the "no-fault" for medical errors), the government always want to control you, they put up a CRTC to make sure no one is offended while watching TV or listening to the radio...

Me and the other Admin determin when to intervene and stop things, I chose to do so at that time. I am not taking sides when I am doing so, I am telling every party to stop it and post respectivly to one another. If you do not like that, you can go and post someplace else.....
