Country: | RUN RUDY, RUN WASHINGTON - Rudy Giuliani, the former New York City mayor whose popularity soared after his response to the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, moved closer to a full-fledged campaign for the Republican presidential nomination on Monday.
In a sign that he's serious about running for the White House, the two-term mayor was filing a so-called "statement of candidacy" with the Federal Election Commission, said an official close to Giuliani's campaign.
If he could clean up Times Square while dealing with NYC Unions, liberals and the mob, Iraq should be a piece of cake. My only issue with him is he is very anti-gun ownership.
The plot thickens...

| I doubt if he could ban guns in the USA even if he wanted to. Once the Genie is out of the bottle it will not go back in.
He may impose some controls but if nothing else he strikes me from this side of the pond as a realist, and will know how far he can go. |

Country: | Mit Romney... or whatever this name is. Says it all. Rudy is the conservative runner. Everyone else is a no-name.
And FBJ his anti-gun policies are a BIG issue with me and likely many other voters. The question is, contrast him with Hillary and Obama. OMFG.

My gun collection isn't much of a collection. It's a lonely 1911... no money for gats right now!

Country: | The only thing that will make the "two party system"(sigh!), stop trotting out one bozo after another, is if an independant lands enough votes to put the fear of god into them. Until then its biz as usual.
VOTE LIBERTARIAN

VOTE LIBERTARIAN | campaign finance reform my friend. As long as your war chest provides a huge advantage in elections, this two party system will continue.

As long as you brought him up, I will say this, he is the only guy out there that I could really get behind. I know he has vacillated in the past, but I think thats due to party pressure, ie "if you want our support, quit making W look like a big jerk, he does that fine on his own."

Country: | I just happen to think nothing in the USA is more needed than sharp campaign finance reform... some politicians have talked about it, but of course nothing ever came of it. It's their own survival - why would they hurt their re-election chances!
