We don't only do bad things...

As you may know, we have problem with immigrants. Siks (or what ever the Hell they spell it) send their childs to school with Kirpans, Muslims womens are walking in the streets in Burkas, Orthodox Jews asked a gym in Montréal to put curtains to their windows so they wouldn't see the girls in training...

A town in the Province of Québec, called Hérouxville, voted a law against those "reasonable accomodations" (as we call it). Here is a link to the CBC news report.

Thanks. A few days later, I can tell you that several other towns are already thinking of doing the same thing. Unfortunately, the socialist intelligencia of Montréal have already started to treat them of non-tolerant peoples.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight... We are so tolerant here that we tolerate immigrants being non-tolerant with us. Big deal !

So Sikhs are allowed to carry swords in school? Wouldn't that be classified as a "weapon?" Call me crazy...

We had some Sikhs in my high school growing up. I was good friends with one. We all called him T, which was short for terrorist. This was back in the 90s. We never had any problems with those guys - they were upstanding citizens.

Yeah, the Kirpan is classified as a weapon. However, when we forbidden it in the first place, the Sikh and his family sued the gouvernment for non-respect of his constitution which was allowing everyone to practice the religion he wanted. (We definately need to burn this f*cking piece of paper.)

It went to Supreme Court and the judgementless judges decided that a Kirpan was more than a weapon, it was a religious symbol. So the Sikh was allowed to bear his Kirpan.

Now, I carry my baseball bat everywhere I go because baseball is my religion...

Change religions, go hunting! Like to see the "Wise Men" of the Supreme Court figure that one out.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I see no sense in having a kirpan in school, even if it's a religious symbol. I respect other peoples' relgions and symbols, but it's a knife for god sakes. I consider my I-pod religious for me since I love music, but if I was listening to it while in study with my work done, then I'd lose it since it's 'unappropiate'.
