Yeah, the Kirpan is classified as a weapon. However, when we forbidden it in the first place, the Sikh and his family sued the gouvernment for non-respect of his constitution which was allowing everyone to practice the religion he wanted. (We definately need to burn this f*cking piece of paper.)
It went to Supreme Court and the judgementless judges decided that a Kirpan was more than a weapon, it was a religious symbol. So the Sikh was allowed to bear his Kirpan.
Now, I carry my baseball bat everywhere I go because baseball is my religion...
