Country: | That's ok. I'm sure you have noticed on this board we raz each other some. But it's all in good fun. When it gets serious, the admins turn Les loose on us.
Just remember, the BIG letters (they are called capitals) go at the beginning of a sentence. The little dot (it's called a period) goes at the end, not a comma.

Country: | It's better young skywalker, not perfect, but better. Now, write us an essay, 100 words or more, on why proper English and punctuation is important.
HA HA HA. I just showed this thread to a co-worker and he called me a di*k. I let him read the other posts and he said, make it 200 words. ha ha ha.

Country: | Joy, no worries, you're just educated in Jersey and living in Ohio!
I think it would help the Repub party if more people were involved but it goes against the ideal of the party.
As far as lobbying, I was a lobbiest for a few years with my Union. They would send us down to DC for a week and have meetings with our reps to discuss bills and laws. I thought it was a great way of doing my part (of course what the "union" wanted did have a liberal bent - had to choke on that alittle). Lobbying has its place.

Country: | Njaco. My father spent the last ten or so of his 52 years with the Katy RR as their lobbyist in the Texas legislature. He of course had to spend time with legislators from both sides of the aisles. I believe he was working that job during the time a certain fellow with the last name the same as my Dad's and mine was governer. He was also the Sec of the Treasury of the US. About a third or fourth cousin of mine. Met him once. He fell on hard times. If one lies down with dogs one can get fleas. |

Country: | So true!
I get my politco from my father as well. Was a Ward leader for the repubs and did several campaigns for Senators and the like. I remember on election day when I was a kid, we all get up early and open up the polling place which was a VFW and then my brothers and I would then walk to school. It wasn't much doing but I got a kick out of it.

Country: | It is being reported tonight that the housing market in Baghdad is experiencing a boom. Low and high priced housing is in great demand. Is it possible that the situation in Iraq has been misrepresented to us by the media and the dem party? Either that or this latest report is a lie. Go figure! |

Country: | I agree that it absolutely implausible that we could have been misinformed by the media or, God forbid, the dem party. However I have figured out how and why this event has taken place. It is all part of a plot by Bush. He knew that our military would go in to Baghdad and destroy a lot of the housing. Therefore his cronies, Brown and Root, would be in position to cash in and build new homes for the good citizens of Baghdad. I am sure that Bush is getting a slice of the profits. I expect that if the dems are on the ball, an independent prosecuter shold be appointed. |
