Country: | Thanks. You guys did a great job on Ham920.
I forgot one other item.
Health Care for the Elderly - A
I know there are a lot of people who feel negative about this but drug support for the elderly was sorely needed. My in-laws only have social security (he was a maintenance manager at Vance AFB, but since they contracted out labor, no benefits were provided) and if they had to pay full price for the drugs they needed, they would lose all support. It also seems to have worked well, the cost to my In-laws were less than was anticipated.

Country: | Great, great stuff, Dav! I personally don't want to do a job on Ham but would like a semi-literate debate on the subject but I guess we'll have to wait until he gets suspended from school again.

Country: | As one of the fools that believed the pre war intelligence on Iraq . I have since found out how skewed or faulty it was. I would favour skewed . If you read what Richard Clarke of the NSC and George Tenet say about the situation after 9/11 . I know this is from the evil socialist liberal media but it is interesting
if you have an hour I 'd like to hear what your comments are on the following documentary FRONTLINE: bush's war | PBS

Country: | Watched that last week. As Dav said, he was loyal to a fault. Rumsfeld was a fifedom unto his own. I personally beieve there were WMds but maybe not to the extent that intel said, but they were there. And that was only one of numerous reasons why we went.

Country: | Good post back there Dave. I agree with it. You seemed to be very objective. Giving praise and fault where it was due.

Country: | I thought it was as fair as it could be (it being a NPR/PBS/Frontline piece) although some parts were questionable. I was surprised at the battle between Condi Rice and Rumsfeld and the Clear - Secure tactics that were abandoned. Missed part of the beginning.

Country: | Dav, you raise another good point. The success of the plan for drugs for the elderly is another well kept secret by the democrat lap dog media. I have heard snippets about how well it works for the elderly but of course it is hard to get the full story because it would redound well for Bush and the Republicans. That plan worked well for my mother who finally passed at 96. |

Country: | I think he should get a very low rating for his selection of Cheney Rumsfeld Libby Wolfowitz etc poor advisors have certainly not enhanced his reputation

For example, Reagan originally didn't want Bush - they actually ran against each other before Reagan got the Republican nomination. Sometimes deals are made based on negotiations within the party ranks and both major US political parties do it.

Doesn't the President have a say as to who is aides are , as Libby was also his aide as well as Cheney.
