Country: | Who do you hope wins the Democrat Nomination, Hilary or Obama? Now I know must of us on here don't like either of them, and some probably would say the word "dislike" is too mild.
And I know McCain is not the best Republican Candidate we were hoping for. (Was there one?)
But my point is, which of the two democrats would you rather have in November face off agains't McCain? People seem to think Obama has the a better chance of beating McCain, what do you think?
I know Hilary is losing, and Obama will probably be the nominee. But we have to see what happens in Texas and Ohio first and then the "Super Delegates."

In an unbiased election, I would think it would be the candidate's qualifications, positions, and ideas that would matter the most; not his race.
I've frequently heard the statement: "It is time we had a black (or female) President" to which I reply: "Is it time we had a bad black (or female) President?"
I remember when people said, "It is time we elected a Catholic President" and we did; and, he was a disaster. We've not elected a "Catholic" President since.
I hope we just concentrate on electing a good president and, if he or she is the first of some particular grouping, then fine. |

Country: | Don't worry Adler. I wouldn't be voting for either democrat.
Just curious who is harder to beat.

Country: | Someone wants us to have our first African American president. What a bunch of BS. I see that forum member is from Serbia. I would not presume to give my opinion about who should be a leader in that country because I know little about that country. It is better to say nothing and be thought of as an idiot than to open one's mouth and to be known as an idiot. |

Country: | I think Olabama is much easier to beat in the General than the Witch. I think alot of people will be turned off by his implied muslim roots.

Abraham Lincoln said, "It is better to be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt".
But you're close enough.

Country: | McCain does not impress me either but I think he is the lesser of the evils.

Country: | I'm starting to swing around to voting for McCain, not because I believe he would make a good Conservative President, but I am completely scared
sh!$less over what Obama and Hillary would do to this country. Mr. McCains choice for VP may swing my vote more decidedly instead of doing a write in.
And to vote for Mr. Obama just because he would be the first Black President is pretty foolish, unfortunately many people in this country think that way. Same to be said for the first Female President. Alan Keyes would make a far better first Black American President than Obama.
P.S. I do not use the term "African-American" just as I don't beleive in using the term Norwegian-American, or German American if you were born in this Country. You are an AMERICAN, no other distinctions should be made IMHO... |
