Country: | While I believe that people need to be educated on the subject just like the US had to do about he Japanese American internments in the Second World War, I think they can go overboard with it. It was a war and people were scared. It happened. With time move on.

Country: | A whole 650 Italians were considered enemies? ... let me just get my violin...

Country: | We had Japanese internment camps in Canada too, and they were treated a lot worse than Italians. They lost everything, and I mean everything. Some of them were first and second generation Canadians too. They were never compensated either. I don't know why the hell there's such a hub-bub over these few Italians all of a sudden. |

The redress package does not offer an official apology or financial compensation.
| They'll spend 2.5 million but not offer an official apology? Seems kind of odd, doesn't it?
I visited Manzanar a few years ago. It is off the 395 in the Sierras. The surrounding mountains are beautiful, but the actual camp location is pretty much scrub land.

Country: | Well I guess I was right. It's never ending.
This is getting downright f*cking foolish now, even for Canada. John Williamson is right. When will it stop? http://www.cbc.ca/story/canada/natio...tax051117.html |
