| Plenty of people faked their way into the military during WW2, frankly if they need people they relax the requirements as much as they can and 'overlook' somethings.
There was that RAF pilot who was short sighted and faked his way in using contact lenses (bit like the movie Gattaca).
Douglas Bader, didn't even have any legs.
That Australian dude in the stories section of this website who was apparently too old to sign up, ended up getting in and kicking some major butt.
There is always something you can do, it doesn't always need to mean lifting a gun in anger, there are numerous support jobs needed, pretty much everyone can do some job, even something like driving or transporting equipment, working in a factory making war materials and so on.

Country: | Yeah. One of the most scoring Czechoslovak pilots, hero fo the Battle of France and French holder of Legion de Honneur (I think he had 15 kills in BoF), W/Cmdr Alois Vašátko, DFC, had an eye defect. He managed to keep that insilent when entering the airforce... And look how succesful he became! |

Country: | That is what 8 hours a day in a helicopter will do to for a year straight. The vibrations kick your *** believe it or not, they dont feel bad, but after a while they hurt you. It is only really bad when I have bad days. I work out a lot and that pretty much keeps me going. My shoulder I hurt before I joined the army and that pretty much was just bad luck.

Country: | Although being only 21, I have damage some parts of my body - mostly from the time I was skateboarding - my right ankle clicks from time to time, I got this shoulder, got a big scar on my chin from a streetfight... I learnt to say "Uh oh" on such situations LOL |
