Was going in 2004, but had passport problems (only in SA again, waited 8 months: evil: )

and Iron Maiden is the headliner
Alright so that would make you a head banger? I do like Metallica and Rammstein but due to my teenage years I still prefer Deep Purple, ACDC, Led Zepplin and Co.

Regards
Kruska

Goedendag Henk, hoe gat het met je?

Don’t worry; I do understand very well that you guys prefer to hold back towards strangers.

Wow the Great Trek that makes you as a descendent of the Voortrekker indeed a very part of history in this country. I can truly understand that you just as anyone else who loves his country must feel very hurt to watch the developments since 1990 or 1994.

But what choice or lets rather say what is it that you as an individual can do? Do you see a realistic chance for – Blankes and Buren – to work out something together?
Is the Botha family still politically active? And what influence do they yield inside and outside of SA?

As for Botswana, I believe that they are rather stable due to the fact, that the Tswana make up about 75/80% of the total population, so as to say a very exceptional tribal majority in southern Africa, plus the benefit of multibillion $ investments from SA and foreign countries which contribute to an economically stabilized government – more or less eliminating poverty.

As for me, I am based in China right now working as a plant manager and running three factories there.

Regards
Kruska

Goeie dag Kruska

Yes my family origanaly comes from Germany way back when and lived a while in the Cape, but moved away with the Great Trek and then fought in the Boer war with General Koos De la Rey (who's wife was also a Greeff).

So with all that history to just leave everything here in SA is not in my hart.

The Western Cape government now asked the ANC government to please declare the area also a disaster area due to the Xenophobia attacks.

Interest rates are going up again due to inflation and the fuel prices are also goin up next month.

Goeie dag Henk,

How is the autonomy running in those Buren enclaves, were they have their own security guys patrolling the fence and restricting access to blacks?

A friend of mine told me about these enclaves about 5-6 years ago.

Kennen je bij gelegenheid Freiherr Albin von Reitzenstein, dat will segen mijn over grootvader en hij strijden samen met de Buren in 1900 alvorens hij wederom naar China gaan? I still keep his lancer helmet.

Regards
Kruska

Hi Kruska

The stuff with the whites only was put a stop to by the ANC government and there was a few TV programs about people doing it, but have not heard of it in a while.

I do not know Kruska I lost touch of some of my history have to look up for you in my books I have to catch up on some of the other brave people from the EU that fought with the Boer people. The Germans supplied the Boers with weapons and also smuggled in people to help the Boer people.

Would love to some pictures of the lancer helmet if you do not mind.

Regards
