Just thinking aloud here - he has still to be judged for genocide in Kurdistan, so that needs to be done before they top him, just to make the point. That will delay matters a bit - here comes the real point - so we can get our people out BEFORE he is done. That way, it shows the world that Saddam was executed by Iraqis, not by us, and we won't get our people caught in more flying ****.

And if they can't get their act together before we pull out, well, they've had plenty of opportunity.

I do agree to. For the Kurds he does not need to stand trial. It is only right in my opinion.
