Hptm Günther "Pan" Müller, 4/SG-2, Fw 190F-8 Wk. Nr. 580956 "White 13" (lost, KIA),
KIA 23 June, 1944 in his F-8, on his 900th mission. He was shot down east of Ploesti by American fighter escorts for bombers attacking the oil refineries at Ploesti Romania.

Any idea what the camouflage might have looked like on this one? Is there any pics floating around on the SG2's '190F-8's?

Would this scheme be suitable for that F-8 shot down at Ploesti, June '44? Is it the standard camouflage or....under those RLM76 waves?

I think it is the kind of the winter camo scheme.So these were of standard RLM74/75/76 with white waves. What is more the Fw190F in the pic from Kagero book is stated as Black 9 there but not Red nine.

You'r welcome. In Osprey Aviation Elite Unit Slachrgruppen book it is stated both Fw190F belonged to II./SG2 in Hungary.
