| Academy 1/48 F4U-4B Corsair? This kit has been poking me to get my interest in it's direction. Have read that it has the wrong shape around it's cockpit, how bad is it? It is the only F4U-4 that has recessed panel lines...   Did any F4U-4's see combat in WW II and what kind flew from USS Yorktown CV-10 late in the war, was it F4U-1A's D's or was it FG-1D's?

| Far as I know, they were too late for service in WW2. I'll see what I've got in the way of info and plans etc, and e-mail the latter.

| If I am not mistaken Ken Walsh DID fly an F4U-4 late in the War and it was a 'White 13' ...that should fire you up Jan!
