Fw 190 A-8 Color of leather bumper on shade above iinstrument panel?

I've seen a number of photos of Fw 190 instrument panels and the leather covering of the bumpers on the top edge of the shade over the instrument panel appear to be black. But the Hasegawa instructions I have for my 1/48 model call out brown leather for that bumper. Any idea which color is correct or more likely to be correct? I realize there's always a lot of uncertainty about details of WW II fighters.

    Thanks

You are right These "bumpers" look like would be of black leather or somethig like that. But a few quite close up shots of the cockpt part show the piece of light tonality comparing to the cockpit indicator dials that were of black. In my opinion it was of quite dark red-brown tonality like the Hasegawa and Eduard suggest.

I've seen two different colour pics of the padded leather surround. One was a dark red brown, whilst the other was a lighter brown, almost tan. Both pics were in similar lighting conditions, and not 'washed out' by flash. I guess the differences would be due to the factory where built, the source of the leather etc etc.

Thank you Gentlemen - Dark red brown it will be

This seems to make sense since (I think) the bumper on the gunsight was also dark red-brown.
