Kyushu Q1W Lorna

"Good luck making anything good out of it", my friend said as he gave me the kit. He knew he'd never build it and just wanted to get it off his hands. "It" is a 1/72 Kyushu Q1W Lorna by Pavla Models.

Last night I started working on it. Indeed it isn't the greatest kit I've ever seen, but not nearly the worst either.

Have any of you built this kit? Do you know anything or have any references you might be able to share with me about this aircraft? It's the world's first purpose built anti-submarine aircraft. It's also kinda ugly. That's all I know.

Looking at it ... it's really not such an ugly plane

I had few opportunities to know about 'Tokai'.

A Ju88 was imported by IJN but lost during the test flight.
On the other day, a pilot happened to come across Tokai on the ground. He said -
"Why is that Ju88 here???"

Apparently there's another kit from Fine Molds of the Lorna that's better than the Pavla model.
