    H2S

    Hi all.

    James here.

Would any of you have any information regarding H2S, which was fitted to most types of British bombers. Any help is appreciated on this topic.

    Thanks.

    James.

There is a ton on the net about it. Despite rumours to the contrary the names was supposed to stand for "Home Sweet Home" hence H2 S in scientific parlance.

I have however just dug up a nice PDF on the German Naxos radar retection system that dected H2S signals, will post it soon.

You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me.

If you wish see an H2S mounted in an aircraft, go below my lines:

A Wellington XIV similar at who attacks at U-760

Below of "nose" is the receptacle of antenna of H2S and the "Leigh Light"

Take from "The Secret War", writed by Brian Johnson, and edited by BBC in 1979. ISBN: 0-563-17769-1 in the page nº 228

A very interesting and reference book!

This seems to be a very old and rarely used thread, but I seem to remember that what we called Mickey in the USAAF in Europe was at least a version of H2s

    Hi BF109-G,
Here's a cabling/component diagram for the H2S -2C variant--I'm trying to post a component breakdown per model document but its too large to accept-I'll work on it and get it posted tommorow-My apologies I'm not that "user friendly" when it comes to computers, lol
    Cheers,
    Matthew
