I don't think it got as much fame as P-51 but I think it and it's pilots deserved it. Just my opinion, and we know what there like.

Agreed. I think the P-47 does not get the attention that it deserves.

To answer flyboy's question, there are quite a few flight simulators with the P-47.

Jane's combat simulator (as seesul pointed out)
Combat flight simulator 1+3
IL2 expansion pack Pacific Fighters.

In regards to the popularity with the P-51; I thinking each of the two planes were equal. But if it's ground attack you need, not a lot beats the 'jabo.'
