Charles | No, it wasn't a clipper, it was an old east indies trader. Reportedly still sails the water of cape of good faith, bringing havoc on other ships sailing there. Disney put it together with Davy Jones, but that's wrong.
"Flying Dutchman" were also the words on KLM planes. You can see it clearly in the paint on this DC6.
