    Backyard Archery...

Decided to get the bows down off the walls and shoot a few arrows with my boys in the backyard this afternoon... Nothin special, just to loosen the muscles up.. Havent shot in a whole bunch of months...

Anyways, I kninda suprised myself with my grouping at 20 yards so I took a pic to prove to my Dad and Brothers that I can still shoot a quill.... Heres the pic...

Nice grouping but maybe your sights need slight adjustment.

do a bit of this myself Dan. great shooting. Can I ask the draw strength you have on yourbow. Looks like quite a bit.

I have my bow set to 50lbs, and (depending on the backing material you are using) cannot get that level of penetration.

How big is the back yard????

I shall go back and say to my countrymen “I have seen the Australians, I have looked in their faces …I know that they will fight alongside of us again until the cause for which we are all fighting is safe for us and for our children”.

Thanks for the comments fellas, nice to know I still got it...

Backyard is pretty big, I could and do get 30 yard shots, but the boys bow is a kid bow that strains at 15 yards... Bow is set up for 70lbs, but it actually scales out at 74lbs with the draw length at max of 32" for my Sasquatch arms...

    Some pics of my rig...

Very cool and nice shooting. I love shooting my bow, very relaxing. Used to shoot one of those high tech wheelie bows, but nearly ten years ago I switched to the traditional archery route and haven't looked back. Nothing like shooting a longbow and hitting the target well. Of course there are days I can't hit the broadside of a barn from the inside

A 2006 study found that the average American walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found that Americans drink an average of 22 gallons of beer a year. That means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles per gallon.
