Country: | My favourite sport to play has to be basketball. But I love watching Ice Hockey (although I don't get to watch it much anymore). It's San Antonio Spurs 'n Red Wings for me. I don't really follow either anymore...

My post about watching or participating was not directed to your post
about flying. It was directed at the meaning of the sports poll.

Country: | Does raising your beer mug all the time count as a sport. You know, you'll exercise your biceps if the mug is big enough. You'll have to start with 0.5 litres.

Motor Racing: classic sportscar and F-1 and motorcycle and NASCAR up to 1972, when men were MEN, cars were made of steel, bumpers had chrome...when SC in NASCAR meant Stock Car....National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing and nothing else... It has lost it's appeal since Fred Lorenzen, "Fireball" Roberts, Curtis Turner, David Pearson, "Tiny" Lund and "Junior" Johnson's days at the top....shame shame shame

Country: | Dang it.
I was voting in the poll and forgot to put in fencing.
It's probably the sport I have played the most.
Yeah, it's kinda a rare sport, and I may have not gotten into it if it wasn't for my brother, who loves fencing and Martial Arts even more than I do, but it's really fun. For those wondering about it, I advise you to try it out at least once if you can, see if you like it!
And it's not as solitary as you think. You can have teamates, and win together as a team, albeit singly one at a time. It is competitive, but a lot of sports are pretty competitive.
And there is not just Sport Fencing. There is Historical Fencing or European Martial Arts Sword Fighting, which in some ways is even better than Modern Day Fencing.
If anybody is interested I could give some links to articles.
But aside from that, I do like American Football, never played it though but it's fun to watch. All the poundings and crushing, it's like a modern day tournament.
And Baseball. I was really rooting for my team this year at the World Series, the Rockies. Hoping for at least one game win. But it didn't happen. I don't expect them to get that far this year.
