The Pens put some pressure on in the beginning but Detroit was much more complete and won 4-0

Have to see if Pittsburg can get a goal these evening , they should get aslight boost because of the home fans and getting last change which will allow Crosby extra time without facing the best Detroit checkers. IMHO the seri es is over Detroit is just smothering Pittsburg the kids are getting a lesson

some great news for Omsk Avangard : Jaromir Jagr as free agent joins them after spending 3 seasons in the NY Rangers . He's not a stranger in Omsk - he's played there during the NHL labour dispute in 2004 - 2005.
I saw him in Moscow city playing against CSKA Moscow - despite his age he has played amazingly. I'm quite sure even now he's still able to do some brilliant stuff on the ice.

The biggest word Im getting from the free agency/signings that are going on is that Marian Hossa has signed with the Red Wings... As if they need the additional offensive firepower???

Also, Fleury re-signed with the Pens for 7 more years....

Congrats!
Think he made a good decision...Rangers didnīt want him anymore...
In the Russian league he will get more space as he will play with better players in his formation there so the opponents canīt focus only at him during the game...which could allow him to achieve more points next season...Iīm really curious...
And 7 million dollars/season netto...
Think he signed for next 3 years with one year option.
Though he quit his career in the national team 1 year ago thereīs bigger chance he will play for us the next World Champoinship or Olympic games...especially under our new head coach Vladimir Ruzicka, former captain of the team from Nagano and his fellow...

He played with some quality folks in the NHL NY Rangers Brendan Shanahan , Chris Drury, Scott Gomez he didn't have all the pressure on him he was just not involved with every game playing at a 80% level he was in other words coasting

I think Jagr realized his days in the NHL are ending and went to a league where the obvious lack of talent will make his last couple years Golden...

And the paycheck of course...
