| Also i was told italian players find themselves longing for their home when hired by teams outside Italia...italian league is one of the best leagues in the world, but apparently cases of italian football stars playing outside Italia are not common. The record of the italian team can certainly indicate they do not need to play abroad to come up with a winning team though. Is it true the few italian football stars currently playing outside Italia is because of a case of massive italian style corruption involving team owners, referees and players? |

About going abroad, players goes where money is. Italian league pays quite well, so there are many more foreign players coming here than Italians going abroad. In recent years top English and Spanish clubs started to shop for Italian players. Quote:
This is partially true: it is a very specific case, not a 'massive' thing. One of the major teams (Juventus) got penalized for something attempted in the past years by a couple of managers (there was some detailed explanation in the World Champ thread) and sentenced to play in B league for 2007. Of course, other teams ran to shop for the best players at bargain price: some went to other Italian teams (like Ibrahimovic), a couple to other European teams (like Cannavaro).

| Germany beat Czech 2-1 in a very very strong showing by the German side. The game was a good game overall though. England was only able to tie Israel though. I think that England is going to have problems this year and next year.

| Ballack dives like a U boat. lol Portugal dives a lot worse than Italy does also. As for that video, well it cant be the Italian team as the Italian team does not have any black players. IF anything it could be a joke played on Portugal. |
