    1/48 Revell/Monogram A-6E Intruder

I picked up a Revell A-6E yesterday, and it will be part of my attempt to build most of the major U.S. Navy/Marines combat aircraft since the start of Vietnam. So far I've got an F-8, F-4 and F-18C. My F-18F should be here in a fewish days, and after this I've got to get the F-14, EA-6B and A-7. Bit of a ways to go yet!

My Intruder will be of VA-85 most likely. I'd use the kit decals, but they are all of the hi-vis variety, and I'd like to do a low-vis aircraft. I'm not going to order decals, so it will be a little bit of a fudge job for markings. I have all of the roundels and other markings in low-vis from F-18 decals laying around, except for the danger intake triangles, so that may pose a problem, as they're shorter than an F-18's triangles. Also, some of the markings may be black, but from what I've seen there seems to be a bit of a mix.

I'll be watching Cory. Should make up a cool collection when it's through....... when you're about my age.

It may be that way as I cut my thumb pretty good cleaning a piece off! We'll have to see if I can keep going tomorrow.

Nice one Cory, always liked the look of that aircraft. Don't go getting blood on the kit parts now. Oh, and hope your thumb gets better !

Not to worry Terry, the only things that got blood on them were me, a few tissues and a bandage, the A-6 is safe!
