1/72 scale Heller sbc-4 helldiver

Very basic kit Just now have been able to start on it
Going to do it up as a French navy plane as there are only two options one being British the other French.



Paints being used are humbrol. And a question on them how long does it take for them to dry, as the interior is still tacky

Looking good so far.
If Humbrol enamels, in matt, they should be touch-dry in around 30 minutes to one hour, and fully hardened in around six to twelve hours. If not, then they either need stirring fully, or you've got a tin exhibiting the recent problems with these paints. The consistency of quality has been poor since the demise of the original UK Humbrol factory, and I don't know where they're made now.

Well here is where I'm atthe first problem is the top wing inside struts do not line up with the holes so I lined up the wing using the outside struts as a guide will super glue the inside struts later.

t-bolt said the landing gear is the weak point and I agree again realy nothing to support them so I super glued the whole thing together hope that will help with the weakness.
On the propeller I am trying the dip method of painting the stripes blue then yellow then red.

May try my hand at rigging the thing be a first for me. Over all it's not a bad little kit you get just enough parts to finish it

Ok running into a problem how wide should I make the propeller stripes in the scale the plane is in, the colors are red yellow blue in that order but I don't want to make them too wide either.

In 1/72nd scale, the total width would be around 1.5 to 2 mm. When yellow tips were used, these were normally 4 inches, but the 3 colour stripes were slightly more, at around 5.5 to 6 inches total.
