I'm in the process of repairing it. Probably be able to start painting
tomorrow.

It could have been worse.....

Hey guys... All the damage has been repaired. Replaced the five broken
stringers and put on new silkspan. It's all in the process of drying, and
tomorrow we will re-paint the damaged areas. All the striping has
been completed. So after the re-paint and the photo shoot it gets
hung up....

Good info there Charles.I think the model is really very, very light and fragile to show it in a nature. It is a good idea to put it away at the safe place and admire it from a some distance.

Wurger, my friend. I weighed the floatplane last night..... 1.4 ounces.
I doubt that it will increase any with the paint I have to add. The wind-
shield and side "glass" are in, and all the striping is finished.

Will have pic's tonight.

Wurger and all:

The floatplane has been repaired, altho I doubt the FAA will sign off on it.

You can't patch something and have it look as good as the original
covering. The paint was still wet when I took these pic's, and the prop
still has to be attached.... which is very easy.

The windshield is in and it has been striped. Flaps and ailerons have
been outlined, and the w/s and glass frames are done. It may need
another coat of paint. I'll know in the am.

Very nice Charles. I wouldn't be able to tell of the calamity from the pictures.

This is the repaired/finished floatplane. Everything is done except outlining
the doors to the cabin, and I think I am going to pass on that. If you look
close on the aircrafts left side, about the fifth panel back, you can see
where it was repaired. The last pick is a plan of the next project. A 12
inch wingspan "Fairchild 24"..... what ever that is.
