And, it seems the older you get, the faster the days go by...

Haven't still figured that one out...

Great work Gutt! If you need to reproduce sections of the corrugated skin of the JU52, model railway outlets can supply 1/72nd scale plastic sheet, moulded to look like corrugated iron fencing, walls etc. This could be cut and bent to simulate partly destroye, or heat-warped sections of the aircraft. One company is 'Evergreen', and also I think 'Javis', in the U.K.
I love the effect of the aluminium ash - it is very realistic.
And yes, the days and years seem to go twice as fast as you get older! Twenty years ago I was only a youngster, at 37 - in another twenty years, if I live that long, I'll be an old man of 77 !! Twenty years ago seems like only last week sometimes.....

now that the dio of the Junkers on ice in 1:48 has been completed ( we should still add a few more people and some ammoboxes )
the time has come to work more on the bigger dio of the attack on Norway.. several planes are under progress..
six He 111..six Ju 87..ten Ju 52..one gloster gladiator..one DC-3 and seven Bf 110 are under "construction"..
this will take time..hehe and still a lot more aircrafts are needed to complete the Fornebu airport as it was in 1940

thanks
yes these are displayed at the museum at gardermoen. on this dio we have recreated what happened with our Ju 52 back in 1940 when it and 10 others Ju 52 were stuck in the ice.this Ju 52 diorama will be displayed next to the restored Ju 52. the codes and everything are just as the originals thanks to Vincent Kermorgant who makes the decals for our museum. ( thanks pal ) .here is a couple of pictures of the actuall event..as you see several Ju 52 are scattered around the ice ( and yes..a few is still down there today as they all sank )

thanks just need to add some more people and equipment and its 100% done.. but that is something that can be added later ( when i get my hands on some more 1:48 german equipment )

i am quite happy myself with how this turned out and also the " water " ( modelwater ) used in the tracks ( as that would happen on real "soft" ice like this..this is a older picture before we got the Ju 52 on its nose but here you see more of the water.. that modelwater is quite cool
