Why thank you Sir, I'd like to take full credit but can't as it's the visitors and contributors that make it what it is
I only finished the conversion in February from old static php to a more content centric site.

I dont know if you found it yet but if you dont have this manual you can download a B-24D pilots manual located here.

http://www.ww2aircraft.net/forum/oth...nual-6802.html (B-24D Pilot manual)

All the best

Hi Paul
Yes I have an original, it's amazing how much stuff I've been given over the years by veterans and relatives. Everything from manuals, photos etc. I even have a full uniform promised me, but I've told him I'd rather he held on to it for long time yet.

Awesome. Would you put this in a museum somewhere? It's certainly worthy of public display. The weathering is fantastic - all the kinds of things I wanted to do when making kits as a kid.

Thanks Gruad, that made my day and humbled me
I was really pleased with it myself, as it was my fist full build in a number of years but there are other planes more worthy of praise.
I'd love to think that a museum would want it but I find it difficult when a lot of museums won't even acknowledge the existence of 205 Group or even ACSEAC everyone is focused on Bomber Command and Lancaster raids etc, but this is a rant for another day
Thanks though for making my day mate

I'm just in the process of ordering a custom made cabinet to house my growing collection, I only have a handful (literally) as I've not been back in to modelling long. But I feel that the $1,000 price tag will be worth it over the years
I'm going to be starting another one of these in the very near future, but with a twist. I'm sure it's been done before but I intend to make the next one a full cutaway including wing spars/ribs etc.
What I' looking for is detailed drawings/photos etc of any parts of the Liberator. I have a good selection on my site but I'm sure there must be lots more out there.
I'll create a new thread but where should I put it?
Cheers
Gaz

Hey Lucky
Thanks for the inspiration, yeah I bought mine on E-Bay a number of years ago. I still have 1 x D and 1 x J left. Revell have just reissued the "D" & the "J" I'm not sure of the if it's just a rerun or if it's retooled I expect it'll be the former.
I have about 8 x 1/72 Libs to build

I've got a couple of cutaways and some internal pics of Libs, although you might have these already. If you think they might help, let me know. I'll have to scan the cutaways in two hits though, as they're just a bit big to fit the scanner in one go. I've also got schematic drawings of the internal equipment fit for the ECM Libs from RAF 100 Group, if that's of interest?

Hey AF
That stuff for 100 Group I'll definately take, it's hard enough finding info on 100 Group for the site!!
Can you post a picture of the cutaway in case it's the same one as I have (just a rough one from a camera phone will do)
I'll take just about anything you have, if I already have it then I'll say thanks and keep quite
I feel like a Rag 'n Bone man calling out for your wares, any old iron etc (basically I'll take anything to do with the Liberator)
Thanks mate.
Gaz

Hi Gaz, leave it with me for a day or two and I'll dig out everything I have. I'm a bit behind getting stuff for other people at the moment, as well as some of my own work! I'll post camera shots of the cutaways, but it might be easier for me to e-mail the rest of the stuff - there's quite a bit of it! PM me with an e-mail address if you can, and I'll sort it, and there's something I would be grateful if you'd have a look at too, in case you can help out another bloke who was asking me for info on MkII Libs.
Cheers,
Terry.

Hey Terry
No worries mate, when you can mate she's not going anywhere
I'm not shy here's my email address in case anyone else wants it (except you dirty spammers I don't need your drugs!!! ) gary@rafb24.com
I'll help anyone in any way I can if it's Liberator related

Hi Seesul
I hope you're speechless for all the right reasons?
Good news for you mate, Revell have recently rereleased the B-24 D Variant, I've also been informed that the "J" variant has been rereleased but can't find any info on Revell Germany or USA sites.
I'm thinking of making the next one 31/34 Squadron SAAF or maybe 311 Czech Squadron (Coastal Command) but the jury is out and I'll probably just go with the other Squadron my grandfather served with 355 Squadron (so many Squadrons to choose from).

Cheers all
Gaz

Here you go Gaz, a couple of quick shots of the two cutaways I have. I think I've got another one somewhere too. I'll scan and e-mail the 100 Group stuff, and any internal shots I have, in the next day or so.
Cheers,
Terry.
