In my castle....
Well, as already mentioned in another thread, I've picked DML's 1/48 Ju 88C-6 Zerstörer.....8)
What I'd like to know is which ZG's flew them and if possible, where?

Hate that...!  Anyhoo.... I want to do a KG55 "Greiff" crate (one of my favorite KG's), but I'd also like do to a C-6 Zerstörer from the Mediterranean. Did any of these operate there, from let's Greece?

If they operated from Greece I have to check, but for sure some of them participated in operations at the Mediterranean TO.

Interesting stuff guys, I only learnt about these 88's only very recently.

Get a shuffle on Jan and start it, I mean you haven't got much else on the go

In 2.43 9./KG55 began using Ju 88C-6 fighters for trainbusting missions, any idea where they were based at that point?

So, now I'm stuck between a trainbusting C-6 from KG55 or Med based C-6 from 10./ZG26, based at Trapani, Italy....'42-'43.

Then of course you have 11./ZG26 based at Eleusis(?) in '43-'44....also C-6's.

Oh dear...!

Btw, what kind of machines did Panzerjägerstaffel/ZG1 fly?

Here Lucky...

Kampfgeschwader 55

"In 2.43 9./KG55 began using Ju 88C-6 fighters for trainbusting missions, and on 1.6.43 part of 9./KG55 was used to form 14.(Eis)/KG55."

"30.12.42 - 3.2.43 Nowotscherkask He 111H
3.2.43 - 23.2.43 Stalino He 111H
23.2.43 - 4.4.43 Kirovograd He 111H "

Cheers Chris! Question is though, would they have been based at the same base as their 111H's, 3.2.43 - 23.2.43 Stalino, 23.2.43 - 4.4.43 Kirovograd, 5.4.43 and 5.5.43 Samorsk (Crimea)?

Jan

are you wanting to do a train busting Ju ? I've got more pl;us pics/ the nose is solid of course with the 4 2cm cannon but there are also more cannon installed.

interesting too that we never here about these crews flying all over Russian space and hunting down Soviet trains.

KG 3 killer, note the winged wheel emblem, think and I have to check the bird has 6 forward 2cm's. I can only imagine the effect this must have had on poor Soviet transportation .....
