A bracelet in the sand

This is one of my preferred stories about WW2 planes.
It is one of the misterious happennigs, like those referred to the "Lady Be Good" B-24 Liberator, or the missing Italian s.79 in the desert of Libia (see MM23881 topic, posted by Dogwalker here in the forum)
