Castle Bromwich Inspection Stamp???

Hi all,



I am trying to determine if this is a castle bromwich inspection stamp and what the part number is from...it looks like part of the exhaust system. I am told it is from a spitfire but am unsure as the spit prefix is 300 I think.

Any help would be appreciated

I'd suggest asking over on Britmodeller. Someone there will very likely know. I'm interested as I live less than ten miles from Castle Bromwich!

Hi all

After much research and hair pulling I have discovered what this part is from... It is indeed a part manufactured by Castle Bromwich for a Spitfire. It is a shield for the tail wheel and sits just forward of the wheel. It is pictured here in this
picture I found online. 26 on the part refers to the Tail Skid assembly section on the Spitfire... Thanks to those who replied to my post.
