Question Fw190 Horizontal Stabilizer Question

Hello! I'm trying to figure out why (aerodynamically) the hinge-point for the Fw190 horizontal stabilizer was above the chordline and above the hingeline for the elevator? I know it used an electric motor to rotate the jackscrew but why the offset? The Bf-109 had the hingepoint for the stabilizer at the midpoint of the MAC and used a mechanical (no power) means to move the jackscrew. It was also hinged below the chordline, does that have any relevance? I'm modelling the Fw190 and want to incorporate a scale trim system, but I need to understand why the original was designed the way it was. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
