Unhappy Italian Aircraft Instruments Data

I am currently researching axis aircraft instruments and equipment, I have managed to locate instrument panel pictures, drawings, RLM datenblätter books etc ..that have given me a very good insight into German instruments and some data on Japanese (another book on order should give more complete picture). However the Italian aircraft have got me stumped!

In a German Illustrated Parts Catalog the Instruments fitted to a particular aircraft are listed by FL number which when cross referenced with RLM books or cockpitinstrumente.de website gives complete picture. Also found a Japanese instrument site again that provides more detail.but...no italian website!

My italian in very poor and I have to use google translate but even so have still managed to stumble on anything useful. I purchased IPCs, and Maint Manuals for the Macchi Mc200 and 202/205 but again I come to a dead end. The instruments are given a Catalogo Numero by the Regia Aeronautica. I imagine this is like the FL numbers issued by the RLM in Germany. I have not managed to find any reference material to complete my studies.

I am seeking detailed cockpit pictures of the Fiat CR42, G.50, Macchi 200/202 and 205 to start. I would also like scale drawings for instrument panels again I have the catalogo numero but no references. If anyone can help with detailed references for Italian Instruments and cockpit equipment of WW2 I would be very grateful.

Thank you.

Yes I have found this as well but unfortunately I require details of the instrument faces and manufacturers. They actually have a Macchi Mc205 in their museum. I found on a Sim website someone who worked there and asked him for pictures but no response as yet.

Here a couple of cockpit pics in this link,

Macchi

plus I have found this of a G55

The label says 'warning - never fire below 1000 rpm or above 2600 rpm' and it's related to the synchronized MG on the cowling.
It was a common warning for all Italian fighters.

PS: One of our Customers is Finmeccanica, and this guys owns the restored Mc205 in Vigna di Valle museum, plus all the restoring team are their employees. I am trying to bribe one of their executives to let me visit their historical dept. with a camera and freedom of movement, it will take some time but if I will continue with this Company next year I am positive that I can make it !

Parmigiano,

Can you try to find out about this catalogo numero system used by the Regia Aeronautica. I would guess your Italian is better then mine .

There must be master lists somewhere that define dimensions, tolerances etc.. of the instruments. Like a drawing number. Can you also help me to locate drawings of the instrument panels? Are the drawings stored in Italian Museum Archives?

Thanks.
