RAF Evaluation Reports?

Apologies if this is already available on the site, but I'm still finding my around it.

Does anyone know whether RAF/Air Ministry aircraft evaluation reports for American planes are available. For example, the P-38 was rejected by the RAF. Was the evaluation written up as a report and is it in the public domain? And the same for the Buffalo etc.

Cheers

Hi amrit, Here is a web sight that does have a some reports on different aircraft summited by the Australian. Just search under an aircraft under the guest search area. Doesnt contain every aircraft but I do know there are some here.
National Archives of Australia - The Collection - RecordSearch

Another web site that has some data from the RAF on the P-40
Perils P40 Archive Data

P-47 thunder bolt

I beleive that are more around but this should get you started.

Hello amrit:

Here's a couple of UK trials reports of US aircraft:

AFDU Tactical Trials - P-47C Aircraft

AFDU Tactical Trials - Mustang III

A&AEE Mustang III, Brief performance trials and position error measurement

A&AEE Mustang III, Position error, climb and level speed performance

Mustang IV, Position error of static vent and brief level speed trials.

A&AEE, Corsair F.Mk.II, Performance trials and position error measurment

A&AEE, Corsair F. Mk. IV, Level speed trials with and without water injection

A&AEE, Hellcat, Brief performance trials

A&AEE, Hellcat, Level speed performance in auxiliary high supercharger gear

A&AEE, Hellcat II, Climb and level speed performance with and without water injection.

I do have a couple of AFDU reports on the P-38 that I forgot about. I'll try to get those up in the next couple of weeks.

On a slightly different tack, you'll also find interesting reports of UK aircraft by the US, US Navy aircraft by the USAAF and vice versa as well the familiar A&AEE, AFDU, and not so well known US Material Command Reports of foreign types at WWII Aircraft Performance
