These units opposed the American fleets on 24-25 October 1944. Has anyone a full record of the Japanese air units (Army and Navy) and their aircraft types that were in action against the American fleets.

Yep that's what I read on Wikipedia but were there no fighter units that took part? If not the large formations of twin-engine bombers were unescorted.
