| It's a shame to see such a rare airplane as the Airacomet shot to pieces, but since it never amounted to much as a fighter, I guess they didn't care. Still it was/is history in aluminum. |

| Back then it was considered junk - BTW at Edwards there is one P-59 mounted on a pole.

| I was stationed out at edwards for 6 years. There is alot of planes out in the desert. I will try and find pictures to post.
